D6Combat is a brand new site at the time of writing so I thought I would introduce why I felt the need to create yet another website the over-crowded miniature wargaming and terrain building field, and what I have to offer that nobody else is providing right now …
What is D6Combat?
I want to help you enjoy your wargames and get the most out of your hobby time, especially the geekier side of the hobby.
D6 refers to the six-sided dice that Warhammer and other miniature wargames often use for randomness in our tabletop wargaming. Of course I don’t exclude other dice, I am pretty fond of the D20 myself (and bought the domain just in case!).
Combat refers to the fact over the years while I have enjoyed all kinds of tabletop games, from roleplaying games to board games, I have gravitated towards wargames most of all, and it is that obsession I hope to share with you.
What do I mean by geeky?
As well as the games themselves, I am also talking about the craft and technology for running, playing, and creating scenery, accessories, terrain, and objectives to enhance your games.
This could be software, tips and techniques, tools, and even gadgets and hardware.
